At NOVASEED we perform research and genetic development
of potato seeds; we search for varieties with special features,
inspired by today’s demanding markets.

All our varieties are developed under the traditional
system of breeding.

At NOVASEED, we don’t use any kind
of genetically modified organisms (GMO)
in any of our improvement processes.

We work today to help ensure a
sustainable feeding for the future.

Our facilities are located in Puerto Varas, in the Los Lagos Region, Chile. From this place, we are devoted to the research and development of the potato culture.
We have a potato breeding program that is focused on the satisfaction of the current markets’ different needs.
Currently we are present in Canada and the United States, with three varieties being commercialized, and with more than 20 in the stage of agronomical evaluation.

Trauko NS

It is a variety with fast and aggressive growth, with good abiotic stress tolerance, it shows a high recovery capacity after foliar damage as well as a great root development.

Kaia NS

It’s a good vegetative development variety, it shows early to semi-early tuberization, a high and uniform tuber production, and it has a high performance under advanced technology conditions.

Adara NS

It’s a good vegetative development variety, it shows early to semi-early tuberization, a high and uniform tuber production, and it has a high performance under advanced technology conditions.
